|
|
BreezeChasers, Those individuals who enjoy the breezes and activities
powered by the winds. Perhaps you have flown a kite , model airplane
glider, sailed a boat, or flown a sail plane. There is nothing so
delightful as watching a kite riding in the breeze. Well, maybe flying
at kite is better.
KiteFlying_BreezeChasers (AT) mainzone (DOT) com is a international online email
community. An association of those who fly kites build kites and want
to exchange emails with between each other on the subject of kites. The
valueof the forum is not the technolgy behing it but the members who
join and share their interests and knowledge with each other.
If you want to know something about a kites, you ask someone who flies
kites. When you want to know how to tweak a kite to make it work
better, you ask someone who has done it. Maybe you are using a high
performance kite, what if the nearest guy using the same kite is across
the continent? What if the closest kite like yours is in another
country? In this global network, peer networking takes place on forums
like those on www.mainzone.com.
There are three models for e-communities on the internet. Chat Rooms
(we are not a chat room), web-based forum/bulletin boards (we are not a
web board or a buklliten board) and list-serv email forums. We are a
list server forum. Individuals join the roster for this forum. Their
email addresses are added to the role of members. They can then post a
email to the forum. That email is then broadcast to every member on the
membership role by email. Any member may reply to the email if
interested and that reply is shared with every member. Discussions
reach you directly by email. You do not have to log onto a web site and
look through row after row of postings.
Many of us enjoy building kites and flying kites with friends. One only
needs to Google for kites to see the thousands of references to kites.
We all can browse hundreds of web sites on the internet and find
hundreds of sites offering kites and information. Or you can post to
this forum and have members email you regarding building or selecting a
kite, or advice on how to fly or sharpen skills. By engaging in a
conversation on the forum you become part of an international community
of breezechasers.
Members of the forum come from all walks of life. Your interests run
the gamit from family kite flying, advanced kitebuilding, multi-line
kites, fishing using kites, to aerial photography and more. Some of you
are in the kite trade, mainzone.com is not a trade organization. You
may be a newbee or a old pro at kites, you are all equally welcome
aboard.
The list owner, manager, and participants will not accept any liability
for any incident or damages resulting from any forum activity or advice
given on the forum. We do not endorse or recommend any venmdor or
manufacturer of kites. You alone are responsible for anything you post
to the forum. You are free to discuss any problems or issues relating
to kites and kite flying.
To join apply from www.mainzone.com, membership is free to all during
