Prestwick sees rise in passengers

Evening Times Online

07/04/05

PRESTWICK Airport today posted a massive leap in passenger numbers.

The Ayrshire low-cost hub said its March figures were up nearly a fifth
from the same month last year.

More than 192,000 people flew out of the airport in March, up from just
161,000 a year before. Most of the rise came from three new routes
launched last month by Prestwick's main airline, Irish budget carrier
Ryanair.
