A PILOT furious at being searched before flying dropped his pants and
exposed himself to security staff, then raged: "Do you want to search this?"

Why should they be exempt from the procedures the passengers have to
go through - what makes pilots automatically more trustworthy than
everyone else?

Well, you don't have to be a terrorist to want to commit suicide by
crashing a plane.

Self-insurance - *if* the pilot does create havoc with a gun, the
survivors and the relatives of the dead will sue someone for allowing
him on with a gun.

Perhaps he just finally snapped at the absurdity of checking pilots to
see whether they might be intending to take control of an aircraft.

I wonder how much effort they put into checking that the people
concerned really are pilots.

Time to move on - the subject's dead.

The point is that a pilot doesn't need explosives or guns to crash an
aircraft, and any pilot intending to do so would be foolish to attempt
to arm themselves.

Also, it would take very long term planning for a would-be terrorist to
train as a pilot (assuming he/she even had the apptitude), then get a
job with an airline. It's hard to imagine anyone following that path.
The few incidents (or is it only one?) of pilots deliberately crashing
aircraft are probably the results of pilots deciding to do that long
after they embarked on their careers.

Whereas anyone can become a passenger. So a pilot is much less likely to
be a terrorist than a random passenger is.

cock fighting is illegal?

Is that what they do in the cockpit?

What actually happened was that the security guard became suspicious of the

guy's claim to be a helo pilot and asked to see his chopper.

Not only that but when he dropped his pants they didn't find anything.
