Whats the view on this - Glyptal seems to be a proven
favourite.

What are the benefits, preparation methods and and how many
coats?

A friend with a lot of restorations behind him told me that it was a
requirement on some of the smaller radials like Warner etc. because
the aluminum in the case was so porous. He pronounced it Glyptol.
