Just spepped-off today's DL flight..it was FULL. FULL, FULL...too many pax
for a smaller aircraft.

I went out to ATL 3 weeks ago and the same loads there..

And as I've mentioned on that thread, have you ascertained that all
the people in business class have paid business class fares?

And seeing that you want 777s on the route, perhaps you might refrain
posting your stupid FAQ about widebodied stands. How many people have
stopped you on the street and said "Joe, please can you tell me what's
the situation when we get a big aircraft at the airport?".

nobody asked for?

How comes BAA are only re-active at EDI?

Also I'm sure some GLA operators would just love a full length taxyway
at the r/w 23 end, and ATC I'm sure would really appreciate a brand
spanking new multi million £ ATC Tower,

B

And an open style common area departure lounge.... Oops they're getting
that with the £30m development just starting. That should improve
flexible use of gates, cut out bottlenecks, increase floor space and
improve the passenger experience - making it similar to EDI....

So GLA's playing 'catch up' with EDI in some aspects it seems, well,
would you ever..

Yes. GLA is quite unusual in that most of the facilities have always been
landside. The changes will bring it into line with most other airports
including EDI.

Seems that arch was a complete waste of money by the looks of things?

BTW surveyers were measuring up the playing fields and "the mound" area
the other day with a view to the fuel farm being moved there to make way
for the railway.

I would think that's a bad move, just as I thought where they positioned
the new Loganair hangar was a bad move, it's too near where westward
airside expansion should take place, if they were adjacent the off ramp
from the St James' Roundabout fine but down at what you call the 'mound'
I fear is way too near where future expansion should take place,

Sorry, I didn't go into enough detail. The fuel farm will be where the
playing fields are but the mound area, evidently due to be cleared
sometime, will eventually become apron. That could be a while in the
offing as Loganair would have to move first but it certainly seems that
Apron N will cover that area before the pier is extended.

Ah, now I see, btw, have you ever noticed that small taxyway 'stump' that
leads to where the mound is off of the main taxyway, it's as if they've
always planned for an apron there,

What's in the pipeline for EDI currently? NOTHING!

I can tell you that statement is 100% inaccurate.

As you have told him many times already.

The covered walkway between the terminal and the T2 check-in facility? If so
it's not long since been commissioned and built and will be coming down
shortly. It's quite cosmopolitan looking by there with the coffee shop
seating al fresco in the summer. A nice touch IMO.

The one you can see here? www.flyglasgowdirect.co.uk/ecjtn150507taxi.jpg.
Can't say I had noticed until you pointed it out but since GLA is so topical
these days, I did notice that the kindly management have had the top of the
trees in the sight line chopped there so that spectators can get an
unencumbered view. Jolly decent of them ;-)

A first class pic and a very good background Clive, good work.
