Does anyone have any experience, or the cost of freighting and aircraft from
the states. Thinking of a Sonerai 2LS, which is a small two seat tandem,
with folding wings, so it would have a small footprint, needs about 1.8m
width and 7m lengths, weight 550lbs empty. Not many of them here, but there
are plenty in the states on the 2nd hands market at reasonable rates.
Thanks in advance.

I'd say no less than $6000-00AU. I think you could sea-freight for
cheaper than that.

You're probably right. Then it comes down to the question of how
hard it is to remove (and re-attach) the wings.

The sonerai actually has folding wings, so a no brainer.
