Had just settled down to read my book while awaiting the call for the
flight to Port Augusta when I heard my name over the PA system.
I trotted down to the QANTAS service desk as requested (they look
after O'Connors' baggage handling) to be informed that my bag was
vibrating......
I hastily assured them that would be my shaver (well, what else could
it be...?.) and was directed to the baggage enquiries counter to solve
the problem- they couldn't fix it themselves because my bag has a
padlock.
For my penance, this involved going all the way back to the exit by
the security screen point, down to the baggage hall and all the way to
the end of it to the enquiries counter. And then all the way back
again, through the screening, and back along the concourse to the far
end.
Thankfully, the QANTAS folk looked after my hand luggage so that the
trip through the screening was relatively painless.
I won't forget to engage the switch lock on my shaver again....
I wonder how often this sort of thing happens?

Could be rather embarrassing if the vibration was *another* device Smile
