Sevilla beat Osasuna 2-0 tonight to advance 2-1 on aggregate and
Espanyol beat Werder Bremen 2-1 to win 5-1 on aggregate.

So we have an all spannish final. Fingers crossed for some IB heavies.

Confident of reaching the final, both teams already had some flights
pencilled in at GLA. Airlines AEA, PVG, NO, BIE, GJT and TOM to be firmed up
and more to follow, no doubt. There was talk of one team using GLA and the
other PIK but I dunno if that's the case. All will be revealed very soon.

Would probably expect that the majority will use Prestwick and
Glasgow, with possibly some flights going to Edinburgh.
Of course, Ryanair and GSM could have some very full flights
around
that time also.

Gkirk last time a lot of the flights went into GLA NOT PIK. Other
flights did use PIK and EDI.
Correct other flights did come to Prestwick 33 to be exact

I don't how GKIRK can say that the majority of flights will use PIK.
Last time all the 3 airports did well out of it. The big issue with
GLA was the lack of stands to park the aircraft. There is now more
room to do this with the hard standing at the control tower and also
the international pier on the site of the old logan air hanger.

Also GKIRK ..I would say that EVERY fight into Scotland from Spain
will be full. Just like every flight from the UK to Athens will be
full shortly.........

No doubt, but GLA doesn't have the space available to park a/c remote
during the summer compared to PIK. Just look at pics from the Euro Cup
Final a few years ago to see how much PIK got.
Don't get me wrong, GLA also got a lot of traffic, but I think PIK may
just get more this time due to it being a lot quieter than GLA.

Yet again you have NOT read my message. GLA has NEW STANDS since the

last big match. Does anyone else want to confirm this please.

I must make a note to get over to GLA in 11 days time to see the drama
unfold. No doubt we'll have the flight info by then.

You would be far better getting yourself into town and soak up the
atmosphere
instead of plane spotting Clive ;-)

Well the city of Seville was a fine party host a few years ago. Now it's
Glasgow's turn to return the compliment, right enough.

Where is SX-BLX parked now? She wasn't at the ATC stands last night.

Gaz

I haven't been since Wednesday but that's a turn up for the books! It must
have been moved out of the way, perhaps the pad where the Trident used to
sit? It certainly couldn't have gone far.

Clive

A fellow spotter says BLX was at the ATC stands last night. I saw
photos to back the claim. But he left as I arrived, around 2030, and
it was gone. I was viewing from inside the terminal at garfunkles.
