Hi
Well out on Thursday on the mid morning flight. Flight was near enough
full. Nice A320. Bags off quickly enough.
I finished the job early and decided to try and get a flight back
Friday night. The flight was FULL, now I have never seen this before
on the DUB<>GLA fight, very unusual and not even a Celtic match on the
Saturday..
Returned 09.20 flight from DUB<>GLA. Messed about with gate changes at
DUB so better watch out folks when this happens. Anyway started to
board and noticed that it was a A321 on the route. Got talking to the
airline staff and it turns out that they flight had went to MAN first
and they had put on a larger aircraft due to the amount of folk going
over for the football so ops just decided to let the A321 continue the
run on the route.
Now I did not know it was going to be an A321 so I selected seat 9c
(aisle), my advice DON'T EVER BOOK THIS ROW OF SEATS. Its 2 seats each
side of the aisle, basically no over head baggage space and the
legroom is not that great out all, now ROW 10 looked great for
legroom.
We departed a little latter and arrived not far off time Bags off
quickly enough.
Anyway it looks like I will be back over next (yet again). Oh the joys
of folk wanting to spend money......... |

I also meant to say that there was a lot of connecting pax from an
inbound USA flight. I counted at least 10 of them all heading for
Glasgooww. |

Hi John
Good to see the EI flights busy, the transatlantic flights via DUB
used to be very popular years ago with some good prices but they don't
seem to get offered anymore.I would have thought the LA one would do
well.

Hi Crawford,
Well you can book Boston, Chicago, LAX, Orlando and New York using
GLA as the departure airport
GLA <> Boston £502
GLA <> Chicago £453
GLA <> New York £428
Not bad prices at all but who would really think of using them if they
dont let people know.

John/Crawford
I had a business meeting in Dublin on Thursday flew out on the 10.45
which I nearly missed ! Living 10 minutes from Gla I left it rather
late to set off due to an unexpected business call as I got in to the
terminal building
I was looking for the Lingus check in desk but no desk was to be found
I then asked at the service air ticket desk where to check in and was
informed that check in was closed it closed at 10 am 45 minutes before
the flight departs [ rather early me thinks but totally my fault for
not noticing it on the e-ticket ! ] As luck would have it the aircraft
had not landed yet and they issued me with a boarding pass plus my
return for that evening, very lucky escape this time . Flight was 90%
full going out
and on return I would say 95 % full coming back so the flights are
doing well . If i had a wish it would be for a 17.30/18.00 flight as
the 20.55 is very late when you are only out for a couple of hours
business . So sitting holding my breath till tomorrow when we should
find out if our business quote was successful and if so there should
be many, many flights to Dublin .
Note that as of October Aer Lingus are offering Dublin Orlando and
Dublin San Francisco .
Next flight is to Luton [Ezy] Thursday for a meeting in central London
back Thursday PM [whats the check in time for Ezy ? :>)]

Hi BigA,
I nearly missed the Thursday morning flight as well, I had visited a
customers before going to the airport. Well I hope you get your
business in Dublin. We have 6 customers in Dublin and they just keep
on spending money. Certainly a busy place. I wonder where you stay in
Dublin? I use the Crowne Plaza at the airport as much as possible or
if pushed the Holiday Inn in Pearse St, like collecting the Priority
Club hotel points....good for my holidays.
I believe that more folk would use the Aer Lingus route if they knew
about it. |

Hmmm, I think you need converting to the world of "Priority Club". I |
am not sure if you know about it at all or are already a member, but
rewards are certainly worth it. Let me know and I will post more
information.

John, you are turning into Intercontinental Hotels best sales person
(and I used to think it was me!). I still can't spend all the points,
I've taken to ordering a case of champers every time I stay in London as
I usually get just about enough points in my usual hotel each time I go!

Well John I just spent around 250k for the new IC in LA for a summer
stay as well as the Crowne Plaza in San Francisco. The sad thing is
that I already have 90k in the bank and just about to do another two
nights in Dublin which with any luck will earn me around 18,000
points. Oh the fun......
regards
ps if you have to many send me some lol |
