I saw a video on YouTube of an F-14 exploding in midair in 1995 when it flew
past a destroyer.
What happened? I cannot find an explanation on the web.

Is that video of the VF213 F14A? If so, you're not looking hard
enough. There explanation is out there and was talked in this group as
well. |

I heard that it was the engine that blew and the Pilot ejected safely.
