The airline continued its headlong retreat from Scotland yesterday, outsourcing its entire ground staff north of the Border in a move that will cut 430 jobs from the payroll. "Any loyalty to BA is now worthless if you want to go anywhere except London," said Bill Gleeson, 32, an Edinburgh-based consultant. "Myself and others travel regularly to Birmingham and Manchester and the planes are always pretty full so there will be a lot of unhappy business travellers. The service will get worse once the ground handling is outsourced. It will mean fewer staff and staff with less experience."
