BA's air apparent must set higher standards

Scotsman Online 06/03/07

ALASTAIR JAMIESON

ANOTHER week, another patch of turbulence for British Airways passengers.
The airline continued its headlong retreat from Scotland yesterday,
outsourcing its entire ground staff north of the Border in a move that will
cut 430 jobs from the payroll.

"Any loyalty to BA is now worthless if you want to go anywhere except
London," said Bill Gleeson, 32, an Edinburgh-based consultant. "Myself and
others travel regularly to Birmingham and Manchester and the planes are
always pretty full so there will be a lot of unhappy business travellers.
The service will get worse once the ground handling is outsourced. It will
mean fewer staff and staff with less experience."

Yeah, what some people will do to keep their opinions out of the void of
sanity that is the Hootsmon comment sections!
