Airprox Report – 16 December 2006
Date: 15 February 2007
An Aircraft Proximity (Airprox) report has been filed involving a Boeing
737 and a Boeing 757. The incident took place ten miles north east of
Daventry on 16 December 2006 at 1125 hours.
The B737 was en-route to Amsterdam and the B757 was heading to Manchester.
Both aircraft were receiving an air traffic service from the London
Terminal Control Centre. The incident took place at approximately 17,500
feet.
These details are subject to assessment by the independent UK Airprox
Board. During 2005, the last year for which full data is available, there
were 87 Airprox incidents involving commercial air transport and 90% of
these were assessed as having no risk of collision.
