Airprox Report – 05 January 2007
Date: 15 February 2007
An Aircraft Proximity (Airprox) report has been filed involving a Dash 8
and two military aircraft. The incident took place four miles north west of
Exeter on 5 January 2007 at 1031 hours.
The Dash 8 was en-route to Newcastle and was receiving an air traffic
service from Exeter Airport. The incident took place at approximately 3,500
feet.
These details are subject to assessment by the independent UK Airprox
Board. During 2005, the last year for which full data is available, there
were 87 Airprox incidents involving commercial air transport and 90% of
these were assessed as having no risk of collision.
