Linc:
It *does* matter A WHOLE LOT that you have a brand new Digiwx
installation for only a mere two weeks or so, one component of which
is already broken! What does that say about the reliability of the
rest of that Digiwx system? Are you ignoring the fact that there are
several other Digiwx AWOS installations around the USA with similar
and worse problems? Are you also ignoring the fact that other airports
(notably Driggs-Reed airport in Idaho) which have replaced their
defective Digiwx with an ASOS system instead? CALL THEM!!!!!!!!!!
Belfort has been producing this same Digiwx weather system for over
six years now. Are you inferring that they still haven't worked all
the bugs out yet? Why did it take over 6 years to FAA commission their
very first Digiwx AWOS installation? Name another weather company that
took half this long to certify their AWOS weather system offering.
Your airport now owns a piece of Digi-SHIT which isn't even FAA
commissioned! I bet your real PROUD..... huh? I won't even begin to
open your blind eyes for you if you refuse to see the light of day.
And how about that DISCLAIMER on the Belfort Instrument Company Digiwx
AWOS site that reads: Weather readings shown on the Internet are
advisory only. That doesn't sound very safe to me..... how about you?
Furthermore, Belfort lies about it's alleged involvement with the
Wright Brothers even though there is no written record or historical
archives to substantiate Belfort Instruments wild assertion. And for
the record, the Wright Brohters used a Richard anemometer! Did Ty
Burton or Ralph Petragnani give you one of those faked Digiwx t-shirts?
Are the pilots in your flying community better off with a defective
aviation weather product that spews incorrect or no weather
information at all? BTW: Whose middle leg are you sucking anyway? |

"Several other" systems? You've given us one example. "Other airports"
have replaced their Digiwx? Again, you give us one and we'll have to
verify it ourselves.
You're long on wind, vitriol, accusations, but oh, so short on manhood
and it would seem facts or proof. The only middle leg getting attention
here is your own that you seem to be diddling with tweezers, attempting
to "get back" at a company in a manner that is about as dysfunctional
as your erectile capability.
Good luck with all that.

Since you asked Linc, I'll give you two examples of defective Belfort
Digiwx units in the state of Utah; one is in Huntington and the other
is in Monticello, UT. Neither one of these Digiwx systems functions as
advertised. The "voice reco" feature of the system NEVER worked despite
several field trips by Belfort Instrument's Digiwx Support Manager Ty
Burton to try to remedy the problem.
I also know for a fact that both airports asked Belfort Instruments
President Mark W. Decker for their money back since some Digiwx
features NEVER worked. Mr. Decker then promised "mic clicks" (a feature
of the Super Unicom, now SuperAWOS system) but Mr. Burton nor Mr.
Decker followed up and installed this supposedly new feature of Belfort
Instrument's Digiwx system. That was 4 years ago!
I'd wager there are other defective Digiwx systems that you just don't
know about yet (that's besides the defective one at Ingersoll (CTK) in
Canton, IL). I have followed the dialogs written about Belfort and that
failed Digiwx AWOS system. Based upon what pilots and the two UT
airport managers have told me; nothing reported negatively in the
google newsgroups anonymously is a far stretch. Linc: You just don't
know what kind of problem has been installed at
http://www.digiwx.ctk.com yet, but you will. I think it speaks volume
that the website is still displaying "Current Data NOT available"
within a month's of the original Digiwx product installation and
nothing has changed for the past week as the website is still
displaying "Current Data NOT available."
I also understand firsthand that Digiwx installations at Lee (ANP)
airport in Annapolis, MD and another one at the Baltimore Marine Center
in Baltimore have been replaced with other weather systems!
So how many more examples of defective Digiwx AWOS installations do you
now need Linc?

You're long on wind, vitriol, accusations, but oh, so short on manhood
and it would seem facts or proof. The only middle leg getting attention
here is your own that you seem to be diddling with tweezers, attempting
to "get back" at a company in a manner that is about as dysfunctional
as your erectile capability.
Good luck with all that.
