|
|
Greetings I am a lurker, NOT a pilot or ATC, but a retiree who travels by
air on vacations.
Here are some RUMORS you all might want to consider and get your fangs into.
Please keep the "flame" low.
I have heard that the ATC are working without a union contract, and the FAA
has refused to negotiate with the ATC, and many of the work rules previously
negotiated are no longer in place.
I have heard that the FAA has imposed their own dress code, breaks are
reduced, hours have increased, etc. Also, heard something about the
pensions for the ATC have been frozen at today's salaries, and salaries will
not be as expected for most ATC (you're all probably more knowledgeable
about that than me). I heard that many new ATC who have just recently
joined the group will not receive the salary expected, and some are simply
quitting and leaving the occupation, increasing the shortage of ATC. Also,
some experienced ATC who are eligible for retirement are taking their
retirement now, do to the deteriorating work conditions. Will their loss be
significant ?
The Federal Administration wants to "privatize" the ATC. Does the
Government have an agenda that does not place a priority on safety? The
flight patterns over the US are the busiest and most complex in the world.
Remember after 9/11, the Administration got rid of the private security at
airports and replaced them with a government security force. That was a
good idea, to reduce the possibility of a terrorist in an aircraft. Now
they want to get rid of the Government ATC and replace them with a private
ATC. Is that a good idea??? Yeah, I know, England did it, but they only
have two or three major international airports in the whole country.
ARE WE GOING TO HAVE ATC WHO ARE BEING TREATED WITH DISDAIN BY THE
GOVERNMENT, INCREASING FRUSTRATION AND POSSIBLY REDUCING EFFICIENCY, THEREBY
INCREASING THE DANGER OF FLYING?. I HOPE NOT!
Today, the ATC are hard working people, in a high stress job, dedicated to
keeping us alive when we are flying. Lets hope it stays that way.

BUT! the FAA continues to fund "Kissing the Black Ass" and |
Homosexual feel good gatherings.
Plus, the Technicians who maintain the Radar and
Communication and ILS equipment are being shit on also.
The FAA has more managers per employee than any Government
organization
In a recent morale survey, the only people who are really
happy are Black Females and Homosexuals and Bull Dikes
The FAA loves those social groups but shits on everyone else |

I would rather keep the discussion "on topic" with the safety issues instead
of social issues.

OK. Let's talk ATC "safety". If you cut Air Traffic
controllers staffing and benefits at the same time you fund
social/political feel good programs within the Government
does that not join the two issues at the hip??
In other words, why not spend that money on more controllers?
If the FAA makes a "Safety" decision to cut controller
staffing while funding non-aviation related boondoggles
within the FAA, does that not in-directly impact safety??
In the end it all comes down to money. Where are you going
to spend your FAA money?
Social "Feel Good" Programs or Air Safety?
Check out this link
http://www.nbcfae.org/2006AnnualTraining.htm
Notice it said RESORT SPA
That "Training Conference" for Black FAA employees was paid
for by your TAX money at the same time the FAA is cutting
controllers and their benefits
The Political FAA and the AIR SAFETY FAA are both interrelated
You can't avoid it
Using not politically correct terminology do you want to see
more Air Traffic controllers or do you want to see the FAA
"Kiss the Black Ass"??
Which one has a bigger impact on safety?
My vote is less Air Traffic controllers will impact safety
more than a few pissed off Black secretaries who could not
get a free trip to fuck off on my tax dime. |

Our sock puppet's agenda here has nothing to do with safety. Nothing, nada,
zip, zilch, zero. He's just using this as a forum for his racist crap.
Every post is an opportunity for him to repeat it, using a bogus argument to
try to connect the racist crap to some real problems at FAA.
Don't be suckered into thinking that he might actually be able to engage in
meaningful dialog on safety and ATC. He hasn't added one bit of new
information to his original cut-and-pasted thesis, which is the limit and
sum total of his knowledge on the subject. These clowns do the same thing
in other newsgroups - take some real event or problem, read up on it just
enough that they can add a racist spin to it, and plaster it all over the
Internet. They do it here every time there's a plane crash in Africa. They
point to the higher accident rates in many countries there and want you to
think that it proves something about racial inferiority.
I went a few rounds with him for laughs - these morons make excellent chew
toys if you're in the mood for smacking around some jerk who not only
deserves, but is begging, to be flamed to a crisp - but every response just
gives him another opportunity to repost his racist crap.
