Date: 14 September 2006

An Aircraft Proximity (Airprox) report has been filed involving a Boeing
757 and a Fokker 27. The incident took place 20 miles north west of
Carlisle on 6 August 2006 at 1427 hours.

The B757 was en-route to Glasgow and the FK27 was flying to Bristol. Both
aircraft were receiving an air traffic service from the Scottish Area
Control Centre. The incident took place at approximately 19,000 feet.

These details are subject to assessment by the independent UK Airprox
Board. During 2005, the last year for which full data is available, there
were 87 Airprox incidents involving commercial air transport and 90% of
these were assessed as having no risk of collision.
