Behind them, scores of other passengers waiting to check in at Edinburgh Airport tut and roll their eyes while the woman tries desperately to squeeze even more into her already bulging case. Three weeks have passed since the nation was put on critical alert after intelligence services announced they had uncovered a plot for synchronised attacks on passenger planes destined for the US. Three weeks on and some of the security restrictions that caused chaos around the country have been lifted - limited hand luggage is allowed - but there are still signs of lingering confusion. Jim Yes Jim I would have thought so but in the poor woman's defence if they keep changing the rules it's no wonder people get confused especially if they are visitors. I fly out in a few weeks time and have no idea what the rules will be then, just going to check on the BAA website nearer the time.
