With all of the recent fuss about air safety, I have to say
that the airlines are not consistant in enforcing their own
rules.

The specific rule I am speaking of is that which pertains to
electronic equipment.

On my flight to Atlanta from Denver last Thursday on a
United flight I noted that even after the aircraft door had
been closed there will still people making phone calls all
around me up until the time of take off. In addition even
when we were still in the air on the approach to Atlanta,
several individuals were already making calls to tell people
that they would be on the ground soon.

In addition, there was one kid (wearing a Boy Scout uniform
no less) who had his iPod on throughout the entire taxi and
take off sequence and his iPod was still on as we landed in
Atlanta. This was viewed by the flight attendants on at
least three occasions that I noticed and they did not
request that he turn the iPod off.

So while they are busy taking away everyone's shampoo, they
still won't enforce policies that have been established for
quite some time now.

Was it Delta? They deserve to go out of business.

No. It was United. I generally only fly Delta, but
occasionally I have to accept flights on other airlines due
to schedule or price.
