British Airways has complied with a BAA directive to cancel 20 per cent of
its shorthaul operation tomorrow (Monday August 14) at London Heathrow.

The directive, which applies to all airlines operating at London Heathrow,
is a result of continuing congestion at the airport, following the
introduction last week of new security regulations at all UK airports.

British Airways is seeing some improvement to the airport's operation and
continues to work with BAA.

There will be 12 shorthaul cancellations departing from Heathrow Terminal 4
and a further 27 shorthaul cancellations departing from Terminal 1.

This is a total of 39 shorthaul services out of a normal schedule of 202
departures on a Monday. Exact details can be found on the airline's
website, ba.com.

There will be five longhaul cancellations from Heathrow out of a normal
schedule of 76 departures on a Monday.

The five longhaul cancellations are BA005 Tokyo, BA203 Detroit, B289
Phoenix, BA49 Seattle and BA45 Montreal.

The airline anticipates that it will operate a full European and longhaul
schedule from London Gatwick. However all 26 domestic flights departing
from the airport tomorrow have been cancelled, excluding flights to Jersey.

The airline anticipates that its flights that do operate will suffer delays
and that customers should continue to check at regular intervals on ba.com
before travelling to the airport to see if their flight is operating.

BA Connect, the airline's regional subsidiary, which operates from UK
regional airports, is aiming to operate a full schedule tomorrow, including
London Gatwick to Inverness and Gatwick to Isle of Man services.

Customers who do not have valid ticket for travel on Monday should not come
to London Heathrow.

All customers on flights cancelled by British Airways can rebook, reroute
or have a full refund.

Customers due to travel from London Heathrow on Monday, August 14 and
Tuesday August 15 and who no longer wish to travel can claim a refund or
rebook their flight within the next two weeks for travel up to December 1,
2006 by calling freephone 0800 727 800.
