Worldwides' best aerobatics pilots will join in Villeneuve from August 18th
to 21st
The 8th Hang Gliding and Paragliding Aerobatics World Cup will take place
from 18 to 21 August above Lake Geneva in Villeneuve, where the world's best
pilots are expected to meet for the Red Bull Vertigo 2005.
Over 19 countries will be there for this last training before the 1st FAI
World Aerobatics Championships that will take place on this same location in
2006. Over 70 paragliders and 17 hanggliders will compete. Beside the now
traditional countries that are France, Spain, Argentina, Norway or Germany,
a new pilots' generation coming from Poland, Macedonia, Hungary, Czech
Republic or even a Japanese delegation.
There is a new feature this year! The daring aerobatic figures in the sky
will be accompanied by sound-with live bands performing all day. Friday and
Saturday, the Red Air Festival with live bands performing reggae, ragga,
funk or ska will close the day.
