Two Greek air traffic controllers are to face disciplinary
charges for inadequate communication with the pilot of a
Cypriot airliner that crashed north of Athens last month,
killing all 121 people on board.
Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority today said an internal
investigation faulted the controllers for not seeking to
establish radio contact with Helios Airways flight 522 when
it entered airspace under Athens’ jurisdiction.
But the probe found that the plane was identified by radar,
and that the alleged negligence by the air traffic
controllers was not a contributing factor in the crash.

<sarcasm>
They weren't responsible for the accident, but lets blame them anyway.
We have to blame somebody, as people were killed!
