Yea ,,guess your right it was being operated illegally..It was , in this
instance, a weedhopper two place and the pilot was a 3000hr. plus pilot
with the last 1k or so ferrying crew members to offshore oil rigs in
helicopters. He was commercial for both fixed wing and heli's. I'm not a
book on this stuff,,just an ultralight pilot . They took off to do a sky
diving run to 3k feet and was caught by windshear from a near by cumulus
and spun in from about 1500 feet . A regular long time Ultralight pilot had
warned the pilot about the condition of the fabric on the Ultralight prior
to take-off and even suggested using another plane sitting near by. The
fabric tore in flight just above the right struts and it spun in to total
destruction and two fatalities . I was there and the mood was excited and
full of laughter and good times on a holiday weekend . It could have
happened to any of us in a moment of weakness,,Like Ah hell,,I can do it !!
attitude..

OK<<OK So I'm Halfway right about the heavy metal, flying,,and say about
half that way on the diesel engine,,SO all that measn is I'm right fifty
percent of the time,,,, or just half off ..It's nice to be close to the
mark once in a while.. Since 1972 I have lost six flying friends to the
Grench!! it always hurts and the T V cameras are not there to help make
your sport the best sport in the world..I never said these ul pilots could
land these tanksbut I'd be willing to bet a small wager they could take off
and fly ... but thats not th point. Most pilots I have spoken with have an
ego problem.. Some say it's needed to do what they do. Our world has become
so small that we are now looking at the small things that separates us and
then makes us better than the others by some small way.. It's going to be
pure hell for these guys to live in heaven knowing that everyone is the
same..What will we look for then,, I have one more feather than you on my
wings?? It won't matter then ,,why should it matter now?? have a great day
rejoicing in the lord.... Bring the ten commandments back to school...Gods
love be with all of you and blue skies around you .........was mars

I don't want religion in schools! Dang! More especially Xian religion.
Christians have a more violent history than the Islamics!

Wow! heavy stuff for an ultralight forum!

Anyway - 10 commandments apply equally in Judaism, Christianity and
Islam. Funny that, hey?

Peace, man.
