Going onto www.aa.com and looking at flights from Glasgow
International to Chicago it came up with the following:
GLA Glasgow International Glasgow United Kingdom
GLA Glasgow All Airports Glasgow United Kingdom
PIK Glasgow Prestwick Glasgow United Kingdom
ZGG Glasgow ScotRail Glasgow United Kingdom

What is Glasgow Scotrail? I have never herd of it in my life and
google has nothing on it

You'll find in GDSs like Amadeus that lots of rail stations in Britain and
Europe are listed with codes beginning with Z.

For example, if you go to www.amadeus.net and do a timetable search for
Leeds to Glasgow, it'll show you the BMI flights but it'll also show you
Virgin and GNER train services!

In the Netherlands, Belgium and France, the Thalys trains actually have KLM
flight codes on each train, and their websites allow you to book your train
journey and flight in one step. Given the speed of their train network, it
can be just as quick taking the train!
