Glasgow to regain Brussels air link

Scotsman Online 08/02/05

DIRECT air links between Glasgow and Brussels will be restored in June with
the launch of nine flights a week by SN Brussels Airlines, the carrier
confirmed yesterday.

The Belgian airline said recent studies "clearly illustrate that there is
strong demand" from the business and tourist sectors for such a service.
The move comes almost four years after Sabena, SN Brussels?s predecessor,
ended flights on the route amid financial difficulties that eventually led
to its downfall.

More good news for Central Scotland and nice to see that the Edinburgh
published Scotsman shares that view :-)

Wrong newsgroup...

Extract from our posting guidelines...

Cross-posting articles between alt.airports.uk.edinburgh and

Both newsgroups should be allowed their own identities without

Indeed. Getting lectures on how to post from someone who can't even be
bothered to read the post he is replying to is a bit rich.

The article was from the Scotsman. They at least realise the national
interest of the launch. Great news for SCOTLAND. Hence the reason it was
posted to both groups.

True. But I can see that for some reason you don't want to be the

As are yours, and mine and others who are annoyed by the troll here. We
should be tolerant where people have been insulted and abused by the
troll, especially where their industry knowledge is useful and wide
ranging as Doug's appear to be.

I note you have not issue a criticism of the troll's post.

That's not an especially mature reply either. It is not really sad, it
is human nature, and you are subject to it as well. Tolerance please.

Henning is right. It cuts both ways. Either be tolerant to all or
be even-handed in condemnation. I don't believe that anyone can
use the behaviour of someone else to justify their own misbehaviour.

What can't you believe then? Are you accusing me of misbehaving? If so,
please point it out.

If Henning is to condemn then he must be even-handed, as you say. As he
did not condemn the original offending post then he too is not "obeying"
your principle. It seems to be endemic here that people must respond to
trolling. I have been tolerating it, mostly. I have responded myself,
mainly because it is now spoiling both of the groups I am interested in.

Not really. Misbehave if you like!!! My point is that one shouldn't
try to justify ones lowering of standards. I suppose I'm disagreeing
with your "be tolerant" message in this instance.

It's best to ignore all trolls, yes. Also I think people whould refrain
from the cliquey threads we see a lot of, usually about Joe. I said a
couple of weeks ago that I thought such threads make this group look
childish and I stand by that comment still.
