I would guess Spain for the Donaldson Britannia and definately the Isle Of
Man for the BIA Herald.

BIA used to operate Glasgow - Isle of Man. The Donaldson flight
departed to Palma. It was the only time I seen a Donaldson Britannia
at Glasgow. They were replaced by B707's which did the Spanish IT
flights.

Saturday afteroons were always the 'heavy' days at Glasgow. Donaldson
and Dan Air operated B707's. Aviaco and Loftleidir operated DC8's.
Anybody remember TF-LLK, it always operated the Saturday flight to
Iceland and New York until they replaced it with DC8-60's

The Loftleidir was a DC8-63 or a -61 was it not? The routing was
LHR-GLA-KEF-JFK, and it was always good to see JFK on that 'flapperboard'
above the Check In desks and in front of the window overlooking the central
apron.

Yes, TF-LLK was their DC8-55. They only used it for a year or two at
Glasgow I think. I remember being up in the spectators terrace when
the engines spooled up. Quite a noise, almost as loud as the
'flapperboard'

Too bad that spectators deck was closed down. It was great !!
