Ending east-west rivalry means Glasgow 'winning' everything.? :-(

Are you suggesting that politicians should be seeking to control
newspapers and other media? I think you are seeking dictatorship. Well I
suppose if they did decide to control the media in this country we would
no longer have to read your abuse, as it would be stopped in that sort
of political atmosphere. I think you are even more foolish than I had
previously suspected, we live in a free democracy, newspapers can
publish whatever they like so long as its not libellous or against the
law, thank goodness.
Be careful what you wish for ............

He is seriously suggesting that freedom of the press is removed. I think
he doesn't know anything about how things work in democracies. Still he
doesn't want a democracy, he wants a dictatorship.

Thats what he wants, simple as that. Its another case of if Joe does not |
agree with it then it should not be allowed. But then again look at the
censorship that Joe tries too impose on other people.

Yes, a newspaper is soley responsable for the east vs west rivalry...
Your theory would suggest that every person in the country believes
every word printed in a newspaper. Its up to the reader to make
his/her own decisions.
Do you really not see that you have a personal agenda against Glasgow?
More often than not it is your comments which spark a reaction. Then
you start this back-patting thing as you know you are losing the
arguement.
Bringing up the "peace-off" incident every 2 minutes isn't going to
make things any better. So how about trying to respect the people of
Glasgow (I know I certainly have no dis-respect for the people of
Edinburgh, not matter where in Scotland you live, you are Scottish to
me and thats what counts: bearing in mind some people have moved here
from abroad) and keep to aviation matters in both aaue and aaug.
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What did I do this week? I can't remember .... well I can ... prefer to
forget really. Had originally booked to do a simple GLA-LGW-GLA, which
had to change because the company wanted me to spend a nice day in
Hamburg. So I did GLA-LGW on Tuesday, then LHR-Hamburg-LHR on Wednesday,
and then .... disaster .... I had to change from a Thursday return to a
return this evening (Friday) and there was no space from LGW or LHR at
the time I wanted to travel, I assume due to the English holidays, so I
did LCY-EDI instead and suffered the "M8 Slog" which took 46 minutes
airport to airport (in my wife's car and under 70 all the way as the car
is new). An interesting week I would rather not repeat.
Next week a nice simple GLA-LHR-GLA, until they change it ........
