So, the hope is still alive. Fingers crossed. Of course Berlin should be a
prime candidate for SE RDF funding.

Callum and his German pals will be delighted if it happens.

Hm, nothing very solid, just more aspirations.

Let's hope there's something to it this time, though.

A321 may not be good news in its own right as that sounds to me like
holiday destination equipment rather than European city equipment i.e.
I would habe thought taht EZY would be more likely to fill an A321 to
Palma to Dortmund or Berlin. Perhaps an even more direct attack on GSM.

Interesting that the discussion is about next summer rather than this
winter. Perhaps GLA willbe EZYs first A321 base !

What about the comments on GSM maintenance ?

Cheers.

I think EZY getting A321s is only a slight rumour at the moment. If they do
get them, I read it was in order to provide more capacity at bases where
they struggle to get slots - eg. ORY - I'm not entirely persuaded that they
would use them at GLA if they had them, although they might be useful on the
London routes I guess. Even if they were operating based A321s to the med, I
doubt all the based aircraft at GLA would be A321s and anyway there is no
reason they couldn't operate routes to SXF, DTM and other bases with
aircraft based at these places instead of using GLA based aircraft - In fact
that's what I would expect them to do.

That thread's getting a bit heated (as many on pprune do) with EZY/GSM
slanging (makes a change from EDI v. GLA or MAN v. BHX!), so I guess that
guys maybe having a dig. I doubt there's anything serious - I suspect quite
a few airlines get told off by the CAA for minor irregularites of this kind.

I think the A321's are apparently about 90% certain...The A321's could
do the early morning and evening London runs but I'd expect them to be
used on rotues to the med and Italy perhaps. A319's being used on many
the shorter routes, BFS,BRS,SXF,DTM etc.
