Hi Folks,

Well this month has been rather slow for flights, but managed to get a BA
GLA<>LHR in in order to receive my 12,000 BA Air Miles bonus for February.

Not a bad offer at all, but you had to have registered prior to the offer.

So anyone else flying down this week? I am down Wed and back Fri.

Also staying at a Holiday Inn X so also managing the double points promo as
well as on-line booking bonus, should get around 8000 points for that as
well. Thats near enough paid for my hotel stay in Switzerland for one night.

Might have to spend a lot of money at the bar and have a few hours on the
phone checking mail etc.

Anyway, such fun.

regards
John

Awww John, my heart is bleeding. February has been busy for me so far in
flight terms, I have had a couple of Birminghams, three Gatwicks so far
plus the Oulu trip. Just had word I will be going back in a couple of
weeks. I did register for the BA bonus (can't be forgetting about free
miles now).

Had some problems with hotels, as I can't get the ones I want with
Intercontinental, and have been staying in Hiltons <shock horror> but I
have a load of their points as well.

This week, LGW in the morning, back on Thursday night, nothing else in
prospect. I am glad, I have a terrible cold and flying simply makes me
deaf for two days!

Enjoy the week !

Hi
Thanks for the bleeding heart John, thanks for the moral support. I did have
a drive to Liverpool and instead of flying to Birmingham for a meeting last
during the school holidays I drove down with the family, sent them shopping,
and then we spent the weekend in Birmingham.

Visited the science centre and also Cadburys World, well worth a visit and
my daughter (7yrs) loved it, well actually we all loved the visit. 3hrs
worth.

Well I don't know if I will achieve BA Silver (need a further 320pts before
Oct) this year, but will continue trying. Just about to break the 1/4
million mark with Priority club and so far I have managed to book 12 nights
of my summer holiday with the points and still looking to spend some more
depending on where the wife wants to visit.

We are doing a road trip round Europe, over to Belgium on the Superfast
Ferry, down thru Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Italy. Staying
for a week at the Holiday Inn Resort just outside Naples (and its not
costing me a penny for my nice King size suit Wink). Then three days at the
Crowne Plaza in Rome (yet again free). Oh the joys of Priority Club. Still
having to find places to stop/stay for four other nights (Florence/Luzern
already booked yet again HI properties).

I hope to pay for all the nights since I have work to do in Liverpool and
Newcastle so should manage at least another 50k (if not more) before my
holidays.

As for BA Airmiles, well after this month with the 12k bonus plus my BA
miles plus Tesco, I think I will be on around 37K, which is not good at all
considering I need 100,000k for one ticket to Oz next year with the family
(I am trying to get my work to pay for mine so that I can visit head office
(for at least half a day).

There are a lot of promotions around so will have to keep on digging but my
mate Jim will keep me on track.

Regards
John
