Seeing as things are a tad slooow (when *are* going to announce the BOS
route) here is some GLA stuff from the dim and distant past, please feel
free anyone to tell me to button up whenever you have had enough...

"On our first visit to Abbotsinch we were fortunate that it was a beautiful
day and the view down the runway to the hills beyond revealed one of the
great attractions of the site which is almost unique in this country, and
even abroad, where airports are normally sited on uninteresting flat land.
This presented the the opportunity for a design which helped the traveller
to feel the adventure of flying from this particular airport."

Sir Basil Spence - Architect, 14th April 1966

Any you know something, he was right ;-)

The sooner BOS is announced the better Blimps.

I've got a feeling AA to JFK could follow in a year or two.

I think CO have made a big mistake if they do indeed put a 75 on the
EWR route.

A nice shiny AA 763 to JFK would give them some real competition.

I have a feeling that BOS won't start until 2006. Hope I'm wrong though.

I would prefer to see West coast USA flights before anymore East coast
flights. I think they would be more likely to be successful with no
direct competition rather than over cooking east coast destinations.
Boston would be a good destination for Globespan who have a different
market from the US carriers.
If anything Washington sounds like a good option, although Florida must
be an easier option, particularly with the dollar being so low to the
pound.

If US foreign policy continues as is, the UK will be one of the only
options for US tourists so incomming paxs figs may remain stable
although the exchange rate (for them)is so poor.
