Well for various reasons, I cancelled my KLM/Northwest ticket (which was
reimbursed to me) and bought a BMI/United one instead, so this will be my
trip. The dates remain the same as previous.
2/3/6
GLA-LHR BMI A320
LHR-SFO (direct!) UA 772
Then the same in reverse, leaving SFO 4/3/6 and arriving at GLA on the
afternoon of Tuesday 5/3/6
A shade over £300. While this means there's the benefit of being able to
collect more Star Alliance FF miles, unfortunately I'll be unable to cash in
any of my already accrued miles for an upgrade because it's a bloody H-class
ticket.
I am also glad to be doing LHR-SFO direct, and at civilised times, as
opposed to GLA-AMS-MSP-SFO.
And also, UA is my favourite airline. So it's win/win all round.

Is GLA-ORD-LAX a fairly priced option Colin ?
I always try and fly the tx portion direct from GLA to help support the
airlines that come here.
Cheers

GLA-ORD-LAX was significantly more expensive, and since I'm only going to
SFO for a few days I immediately discounted that option. Besides, I'm
really glad to be doing LHR-SFO direct; a lot of the hassle is removed.
