Been playing around with Google Earth, yet again!!

Anyway I noticed the extra tarmac at the 05 end of the runway.
This measures around 150metres. I then had a look at the runway at PIK
and measured from the end of the runway on the north side 13 to the
edge of the road. 285metres. (Centre of runway line, if you measure
from the south edge of the runway the distance decreases to around 260
metres)
If you measure 285m from the edge of the perimeter road at the 05 end
at GLA (not the M8, but Bamsford Road the road to Inchinan Industrial
Estate), you are still in the grass. If the runway and taxiway was
extended to this point it would give approximately an extra 225metres,
bringing the runway up to around 2883 metres from the 2658 at present.

Is this feasable? Am I missing something?
