I knew it was probably unlikely but I'd hoped for a runway extension or
at the very least full length taxyways to the existing r/w 05/23
extremities, this pic http://www.airliners.net/open.file/708160/L/
shows how short the existing taxyways are from the ends of the
runway,indeed there is surely scope for an extension at the 05 end?
I also sometimes wonder why the new Loganair Hangar was built where
it's built, any airport expansion was surely going to be westward so
why did they build it there, why did they not just give LC the MT
building (to the north east of the BAW Hangar) and build a new MT
building elsewhere?
