I remember reading on Clive's site a while ago about a £200 million
expansion of the terminal etc. What does this cost involve and when
will all the work take place. I pressume T2 was part of the cost but
£12 million isn't much when compared to £200 million. How much are
these new stands costing and is the rail-link also included in the
expansion budget?
What else do you think is needed at GLA? I say, demolish the oldest
pier and build a replacement. Extend the current international pier.
Last but not least, extended runway 23/5 and when the time comes build
another shorter parallel runway. Some of these things have been hinted
at but does anyone know the full plan?

Complete the taxyways at both ends to give a longer take off roll (landing
roll doesn't matter with most a/c on the present runways).
Build a new road between Paisley and Renfrew next to the Cart.
BAW have started maintenance on their A319/A320 fleet at GLA and will need a
larger hangar in the future I'm told, build one where the old Pakserve
Storage shed was (that was originally a hangar) and demolish the Servisair
building and BAW Cargo and build a real pier to the east.
Just for starters.

I've often wondered when looking at ariel shots of GLA, just in what
direction any runway expansion might head and what the engineering
implifications and costs might be ?
Lets's say we extend 05/23 at the western end, do we divert the M8 or
send it under a runway bridge ? Equally so at the 23 approach end, do
we cross the River Cart and extend towards the Clyde at Renfrew/Yoker
?
Would the Inchinnan-Renfrew road also require an underpass ?
Just wondering if these engineering and road/river realignment issues
are already addressed as future plans ?

Dunno, but at GLA the M8 should have been further west and at EDI the M9
further west, I don't think it's really possible to extend 23 at GLA or 24
at EDI further east, at GLA there is the Black Cart and the graveyard, and
at EDI we have the main east coast rail line.

Could the Black Cart not be diverted Blimps ?

Remember the graveyard is there, and I don't think they would tamper with
that, nothing stopping them building a culvert though I would reckon, that
would give them a few extra feet?
