Not sure if this has been discussed here already, but here's a link to a

That incident (and a few others involving exceptional piloting skill) are
detailed fairly well in a book called "Emergency, Crisis in the Cockpit" by
Stanley Stewart.... Since remamed to the more PC "Emergency, Crisis on the
Flightdeck" (no joke)....Good book - one of my recommendations... If you
ever see it, pick it up....

Also has the Tristar that lost all its oil due absent o-rings... The famous
BA747 that flew into the volcanic ash.... The Air China 747SP that had the
upset when an engine flamed out and some others...

Not sure of the link though but i do remember reading a PDF copy of the
investigation that was published by Transport Canada when I was doing a
assignment for uni a few years back. Im sure they may still have a copy
published in the website somewhere. BTW its not a small report either.....
