Just been talking to someone in the know and then checked myself.

It looks like Germanwings will return to Edinburgh starting again S04 with
daily A319/320's aircrafts.

Destinations this time are 2 flights per day. 1 to Cologne and the other to
Stuttgart.

Good news indeed... I wonder if Easyjet will add to this with
flights to Berlin.?

Good news then. I would certainly recommend a trip to Cologne. Really nice
City indeed. We stayed at the IBIS Hotel in the City Centre. Public
transport was excellent. The trip over the river using the old cable car is
good as well as a visit to the Cathedral and also the Roman museum.

If you have kids with you, there is also the large Zoo too visit.

regards John

Sounds great!
Hopefully good times for connections to VIE! :-)

But are you sure on the daily flight to Stuttgart? It seems that most
destinations from Stuttgart are served just 3-4 times a week. (even VIE was
planed 4 times but increased to a daily flight even before the service
started!)

lg Gernot, regular visitor to the Germanwings' crazy nights in 2004 ???

P.S. It's Christmas time and so planes from Scotland are coming for a
day-trip to VIE! (today it is Inverness!) -> EDI's turn is next Saturday!

No, not yet!
It's the Transun-day-break!
I expect it to be in VIE from appr. 11.00 to 19.00.
VIE publishes the times only 24h ahead.

John for the price its a good trip over even if to watch some interesting
movements. The spectators deck is ok and you can shoot images as they taxi
past. The terminal has been upgraded in recent years and looks rather
swish..

At least Atreus was operating the Norwich-VIE flight last weekend.
A regular VIE-Norwich connection wouldn't be that bad. Nice area. The
Broads, etc. and Hogmanay at Sandringham! :-)
