Check into the new Light Sport Aircraft, at least two
companies are making 100 hp Cub-types again.
http://www.cubcrafters.com/default.aspx
and http://www.legend.aero/
They may know of a dealer in the area.
Also try http://cub-club.com/
They built them at Loch Haven.
The FAA has a searchable database
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/acftref_inquiry.asp

Not next door to you, but:
1) There is (was?) a supercub at 12N (Aeroflex-Andover, NJ).
2) Years ago there was a cub at 13N (Trinca, NJ). |

(possibly) a silly question: why a piper cub? i would think that if
renting, some of the larger pipers would be more fun?

A Cub is fun. Larger Pipers are not.

When I got my Private certificate (late 60's) almost everyone at the school
I was in (Zahn's Airport) flew Cubs for at least a few hours, even though
our main training was in PA28s.

They still do the first five hours in a Champ or Cub at Waynesville Ohio.
Although, these days those airplanes are flying non-stop doing Light
Sport Training.

Sport Aviation at Van Sant PA is a great spot with an assortment
of rental taildraggers, including a Cub (at least when I was there
a couple of years ago). Van Sant is a funky 3,000 ft grass strip
on top of a hill, near the Delaware River about 20 miles south
of Allentown.
I think they have a web site, so try googling them. Azir is the
chief instructor and about the nicest guy you'll ever meet.
Good luck with wherever you choose, rick |

A large Piper is more fun than a Chevy.
