Flyers must get a hold on airport bag rules

PASSENGERS flying from Edinburgh Airport were today facing strict new
restrictions on the size of their hand luggage.

Airport owner BAA is cracking down on travellers who board planes carrying
suitcases and other large bags.

The Department for Transport recently asked airlines and airports to ensure
that carry-on luggage does not exceed internationally-agreed limits, and
Edinburgh was today joined by Glasgow and Aberdeen in adopting the new
rules.

A Scotland-wide radio advertising campaign has been launched by BAA to
inform passengers of the restrictions.
