Yup. I believe GLA will be one of the routes from their new base at Norwich.

Any rumours of their GLA CDG service going via NWI instead of BHX?

No. I'm hoping they will do GLA-CDG direct after launching EXT-CDG (their
only route to CDG) and talk of the franchise with Air France for the BHX-CDG
service ending.

I only checked a couple of dates but for July the GLA-LPL flights were
£0.00 before tax. £19.00 inc tax. One-way.

Just spoke to a friend of mine on the phone in Norwich tonight. Local
press seem to give the impression that the deal between Flybe and
Norwich is signed and sealed. He states the talk of the city as big
things expected first LOCO operation from their airport. He is almost
certain that Gla is in the mix. As he has elderly parents in Lockerbie
and Eastern to Edi. are very expensive and it is a 6hour+drive he is
very much hoping himself.

Now that might be good for me as I start the Liverpool project after the New

Year and have a few trips planned.

I hope they start the flights as well. I will certainly make use of them.

I'm concerned that the Globespan flight to Orly will hinder the start
of a direct service to CDG.
If this is the case it maybe that Flybe will operate an indirect
flight via NWI. This will kill two birds with one stone as we'll get a
service to NWI and NWI will get their service to CDG. Assuming there
would be no change of aircraft at NWI this would be better than the
poor service we receive through BHX at present. Not an ideal scenario
but as I said I'm concerned that Globespan have screwed up our chances
of a direct CDG service.

Depends if it's AF or a lo-co. I think if AF were looking to
provide GLA-CDG then it wouldn't put them off. On the other
hand, the lo-co market may not be considered strong enough
for a second route.

I don't think indirect via NWI is any good. My as well fly KLM/AF
through AMS.

Less likely to be delays through NWI, due to very few flights. ( Might
be a problem with fog though)
Main problem though is the change of aircraft. Better to route one
aircraft GLA-NWI-CDG than change at either BHX or AMS.

The change of aircraft at BHX is one of the reasons the service is so
poor. I've been delayed on each flight I've been on via BHX and ended
up over nighting in BHX on one occasion when the flight from CDG to
BHX diverted to East Midlands.
This would'nt happen if it was a proper through flight.
I've also went via AMS. I would say I was lucky to arrive in Glasgow
with my bags due to the short change at AMS.

None of these is ideal and a direct service is the goal. But the next
best thing I suppose is a stopping flight, even if you have to disembark
and go through passport control.
