I would reckon this is only for commercial purposes, I don´t think a
Reggie S Potter with a camera would require permission, at least I hope
we´re not going down that route.

This has been around for many years,I remember several years ago,one of the
guys at GLA getting told he had to have written permission to take pictures
on BAA property,by a newstart jobsworth!!.....it is one of those silly
un-enforced rules.Another one being that if you are not travelling by
aircraft or a friend/relative of a traveler you are forbidden to be in an
airport!! Can't see BAA appointing a spotter deterrent officer any time
soon.

Thanks for that - I hadn't `spotted it` on the BAA site before. Nice to
see a sensible answer instead of the usual idiocy.

Question? What have proceedings in alt.airports.uk.edinburgh to do with
the groups
you crossposted your spam to.?

Eh a wee clue - BAA - Airports - owners - all - common - aviation -
related - airport photography - BAA web site - related newsgroups. Need
I go on? If you are unable to make a sensible contribution to a thread
wouldn't it be better to refrain from replying to it? It simply makes
you look very silly.

I noticed that it is also in the bye-laws for the airport, that people
on or adjacent to the property can be "moved on" by the police or "an
authorised authority" whatever that means. I would guess we might see
some of these minor laws being enforced around the time of the summit.
