I came back from STN on U2 245 on Tuesday and again EDI reinforced a
reputation I have heard from several passengers over the last year that
ground services are chaotic. Arrival on a remote stand (102?) was 10
minutes late at 2250 due to a late inbound arrival at STN and waiting "to
take a pilot to EDI for the flight tomorrow morning". OT-note to BAA/EZY,
those television looking things at Stansted are called flight information
screens and should be used to provide information, not to say "boarding" or
"gate closing" when the aircraft has not yet arrived at the scheduled time.
Even regular travellers tire of seeing near heart attack victims fooled by
these lies. After the usual exhortations over the Borders to give the
flight attendants rubbish, in this case "since we only have eight minutes
to prepare the plane for the next flight" (any EZY departures scheduled from
EDI at 2310?) one coach eventually arrived at the stand followed by another
and a set of steps. In total it was 2315 when the coach deposited us at the
domestic arrivals near Gate 12.

25 minutes from engines off to release for hand baggage only passengers on a
domestic flight to the capital of Scotland -as said in a previous post on
Sunday, makes you think that the airport (or EZY's ground staff at least)
is run by a bunch of numpties.
