The Crossrail boost follows a claim by BAA Scotland managing director
boss Donal Dowds that poor road and rail links had damaged Glasgow
Airport development and he singled out the Kingston Bridge.

So, the official BAA Scottish Airports view is that a motorway just
outside the terminal is "poor."

LOL.....

This is a 'must' for the EDI webpage.....

'Official' is it? Never mind, when the M74 extension is built the Kingston
Bridge will be out of the equation, that and the Crossrail Link will ensure
east coasters will be able to access Glasgow International - Scotlands
Gateway for direct non-stop flights to all over the world in record time -
Stick that on your Turnhouse webpage

<Scotlands Gateway for direct non-stop flights to all over the world>

Sure sounds good but in reality not really all over the world is it? I mean
ok US and DXB but that's hardly all over is it? or were you just rubbing
salt in Joe's wound?

I doubt it Colin..Blimpie 'invited' me into this newsgroup in the first
place..
Surely Glasgow hospitality doesn't stretch to insulting guests.?

Yes Joe you were invited into this newsgroup but you came in with a

vengeance and started trouble right away. You threatened too keep on posting
in the manor that you were until Blimpie left the edi newsgroup. You have
now started to try and be-little GLA at every opportunity you can. Your
postings regarding CAA figures clearly shows your intentions in this
newsgroup Joe.

I don't mind you staying at all and welcome some of your debate and comments
but you do go too far and provoke responses which you seem too love. The
recent attack from Jon was out of order but he was getting rather sick and
tired of your constant jibes at GLA. If this had been the EDI newsgroup you
would have been reported to your isp on many occasions but I don't think
that anyone in here wants too see posting guidelines being drawn up but if
there were I am sure that it would be a group discussion rather than one
person putting his views forward and changing them too suit himself, just
like you do Joe. Your latest changes certainly proves this.

Guys

More good news, although I suspect this may well be a 'recycling' of
the money I mentioned previously as part of the Bathgate - Airdrie
re-opening. What is significant is that the money for Bathgate -
Airdrie is 'in the bank' rather than just more 'feasibility money'
which doesn't necessarily deliver a completed project at the end of
the day. For example the feasibility money for the Edinburgh Airport
link !

By the way, if anybody was listening on the airband radio today you
may have heard me transiting the zone in G-KARI. Wonderful service as
usual from the controllers at Scotland's no. 1 airport.

Cheers.

Central.
