i've had it folks. Cheney (Dick right?) is on a bus tour in PA so
everyone has to stop and bow? COME ON MAN! Stop the trucks, cars and
large tricycles too.

these TFRs are getting unsafe and frankly whenever the controllers are
dealing with it they're in a bad mood, unhelpful, and the airspace feels
like dictatorial territory.

ENOUGH!!!!!

Actually, with regard to safety and the attitude of the controllers, my
experiences have been quite different.

We had the DNC in Boston which resulted in a 30 mile TFR and then a week or
so later (during my checkride) There was another 30 miler centered on
Kennebunkport when 43 was visiting for a wedding.

In both cases the controllers and FSS were helpful, patient, reasonable.

The airport where my examiner hung out was inside the TFR so I had to fly
up there, get him fly back to my FBO base. Do the checkride, fly him back,
and then fly back to my FBO. 4 flight plans required.

No lack of safety; everyone helpful. Especially to a somewhat nervous
student pilot/private pilot. ;^)

And it appears to be getting worse: AOPA is reporting that on Cheney's
next trip, he's going to get even BIGGER TFRs than he normally gets.
WTF?!

I feel for the poor folks who live in Ohio, PA, FLA, and the other
"swing states" that these guys seem to visit every week.

That's because he gained some weight recently.

Actually someone did some thinking and decided he was more important than W.
Now if we could just reduce the size of W's TFR's to match.

And not that it's bad enough that Air Force 2 flying over my home
airport VFR gets a traffic alert from TCAS or ATC about another VFR
pilot in the same general area and it is national news.
