Could anyone tell us how to go about "blagging" a (free) upgrade. Or if we would be charged how it usually is? Also when is the better time to ask, ie when we check in or when we are boarding the plane? Any other tips on the best way to do this would be welcome! Thanks! If Economy is overbooked (no idea is this ever happens from Glasgow to Dubai) they upgrade people to Business Class, and if you're nice they may give it to you. However as other have said they normally give upgrades to their frequent fliers/expensive ticket holders first. If you want to pay for it phone the emirate booking number and ask them.
