While visiting a friend at the Airport today I noticed that the Spitfire
move is well underway. The bricking seems to have been transfer and it looks
like the Spitfire will move soon.

Also heard that the parallel taxi extension work started this week so things
looking good.

PS Was at PIK this morning to see AN224 and for the record I managed 1hr 35m
to Edinburgh Airport (Newbridge)

Where to again? I reckon it should have pride of place at EDI.

It was it's big brother, the AN225, and don't you know that it's at least 4
hours to GLA on the M8 and obviously PIK is a bit further on, were you in a
helicopter or are you at it?

I hope it's presented in an horizontal position rather than a nose-dive.. Sad(

A lot of 'civvy' traffic on taxiway Alpha backs that up...

So two hours to Central Edinburgh is possible? Given good fortune.?

They have moved it around 30ft on the other side of the road, It will still
look great to those people coming to the airport for the first time.

1hr odds today and 2 hour odds tomorrow. You should be adjusted and prepared
for the Scottish road traffic. Making it in such a short time was nice but
then again I was being a naughty boy and driving alittle to fast, saying
that I was driving my brothers Audi tt.

I should note!

Last week I visited a mate in EGSS. Had to take the FR from PIK as it was
cheaper (much). Travel time was around 1hr 40m through from the city and
wait for it! 2hr 40m back! I saved almost 80quid on the fair so I wasn't to
hot about it but still it was a pain in the arse sitting in the traffic. My
fault it was the 1610 arrival to PIK.

I would imagine there is more frequency hence the cheaper prices.

Yeh maybe but that doesn't really explain why from STN you can fly to DUB
for £2.50, Pik for £2.50 and even Milan for £2.50
