Edinburgh is edging out Paris as the top spot for a minibreak for Britons, according to a new survey.
The city proves particularly popular with the Welsh, while some other Britons have visited Edinburgh as much as four times.
The survey, by airline bmi, shows people spend an average of £760 a year on taking short breaks.
