City centre Edinburgh yeah - big shops and the big hotels. Out of the
centre and smaller places I'd say quite friendly.
I think a lot is down to attitude of the customer - workers in Edinburgh
certainly do not go out of their way to be poilte, but if you start
up a conversation they are normally polite and friendly. Same as
Aberdeen... I think it's true - Glasgow is more superficially polite
and friendly.

Hi
I would say that a lot of towns/Cities in the UK are fine and I have found
the majority of people decent and friendly. I am not keen on these types of
reports as they can be so wrong at times.
When in Birmingham (which I have been a lot recently) I have always found
the people to be friendly. As for Edinburgh, I have never had a problem with
the people when staying at hotels or shopping or attending events.

You only have problems in Edinburgh forums? Perhaps if you stopped
sniping and over-exaggerating.?

The city centre is full of out-of-towners anyway ;-)

The bus drivers used to be very rude but these days they're usually
friendly.
