Edinburgh, Scotland
Great Shops, Great Bars... Great City!

Edinburgh is one city that definitely has the ‘wow’ factor! This
Scottish shopping haven has it all, from castles to clubs and rugby
stadiums to rugged countryside, plus some awesome nightlife! Its
lively bars, restaurants and clubs attract people from around the
world to taste a sample of the fun and friendly Scottish way of
life.

Edinburgh has more bars per square mile than any other European
city. The old town and the Southside areas of the city are the
places to be at weekends whilst the ‘cool’ place to be seen at any
time of the week is any bar on Broughton street!

The cities focal point, Edinburgh Castle overlooks the hustle and
bustle of this great destination. The castle hosts the world famous
military Edinburgh tattoo for three weeks each year, a breath taking
display which nearly 220,000 people experience live, with the
backdrop of the castle lit up in every colour imaginable.

Although steeped in history, Edinburgh is a young stylish capital
city, which always has a full events calendar whatever time of year
you go. Its festivals host world leading performers whilst its many
attractions include Edinburgh Zoo, the city art centre and abundance
of galleries and museums. Princess street is the main shopping area
of the city and has everything an avid shopper could wish for...
don’t forget your wallet!

Sports lovers should pay a visit to Murrayfield Rugby Stadium which
hosts many huge matches including the Rugby Six Nations, Easter Road
(home to Hibernian FC) or Tynecastle Park (home to Hearts FC) to
catch a game whilst in the city.

Cost of a pint of beer – approx £2.00
