Seems a bit daft that no one has cottoned-on to this glaring
anomaly..?

I wonder what Aberdonians think? They would much prefer
direct flights to further afield than being routed through EDI?

It would never be able to beat the train from city centre to city centre?

IIRC Business Air and then BMA operated a service with a Saab 340, I think
one of them routed via Dundee.

Very short distance for a flight with no unbridged water in between.

Of course but I'm sure many would like to visit their capital city for many
other reasons.?

Hmmmm. EDI-DND-ABZ sounds rather slow. Maybe, just maybe, Loganair
could do something here as part of their highland and island network
once it is reestablished. IIRC you used to be able to get a rover
ticket for about 70 quid for these flights.

There was an ABZ-DND-EDI service, and I also remember what I think was
called the 'Highland Rover' ticket from BAW, not really cheap but a good
selection from GLA and possibly EDI,

I once flew on the ABZ - DND - EDI return route on business. Both flights
were late and I spent more wasted time than I saved. I drove every time
after that.

I once recall an Air UK AMS/EDI/AB ( terminating) flight taking pax
EDI/AB , could not believe it , perhaps another operator had cancelled
a flight .....

Can't think who that would be. Unless there was a cancelled (or diverted)
AirUK STN-ABZ.
