Perhaps in 'Subject' you should have added "fly to Dubai and fry" - it's too
hot, I keep telling you.

I'm quite sure all the regular contributors would quite happily chip
in for a one way ticket the topic starter was guaranteed to 'fry'.

Attractive as Dubai is for shoppers etc, I doubt a good proportion
are actually staying there for any length of time . Most are
probably just connecting or stopping over.

Dubai has a small native catchment area and I suspect EK are
attracting most pax from airlines not bold enough to experiment with
routes outside their recognised gateways.

A lesson for Europe's Dinosaur mainline airlines.?

I was going to go, but was put off by the massive bulding project which, as
far as I am told, will affect all the major hotels along the main beach as
well as the marina. The work will be ongoing 'til 2010. At least this is
what I was told by a travel agent!

I hope to witness the 'projects' some time soon. Smile)

The ones you keep promoting? Keep it up and you'll never see a direct

Same flight ex GLA (including the much sought after 8 hour wait at CDG which
everyone REALLY wants) £288.19 (source: Airline Network, same dates etc...)
Thats a £17 saving on EDI flight below probably best for east coasters to
come via GLA eh? Bet its great sitting in CDG for a working day, losing a
day of your hols in a French airport rather than paying a wee bit more to go
direct from a local airport! Don't forget the Euro's for the
lunch/dinner/supper at CDG folks.
